Keep it Burning - Poster of the film with Edu Marin climbing Eternal Flame

The Karakorum is the wildest mountain range in the world. One of the spectacular moutains around this Baltoro glacier is the Trango “Nameless Tower”. It’s the biggest free-standing rock tower, and it’s simply just a moutain to be climbed!

Edu Marín, helped with his brother Alex and his (70-years old!) father Novato, attempts the second free ascent of Eternal Flame (IV 7c+ / 5.13a 650m).

This achievment occurs 33 years after the first ascent of the route by Wofgang Güllich & Kurt Albert (1989). Watch Edu Marin and his family on a monumental ascent of 5.13 at 6,200 meters altitude. An ethical ascension, in a single attempt from the ground and without external help, living 28 days on the wall…

Wait for an extraordinary mixture of beauty, emotion, and performance in this climbing movie. The Huber brothers were the first to climb in free in 2009 and Edu performed the first repetition 13 years later, climbing all the pitches in free!

Film Soundtrack

We mostly used songs from Audio Network to create the film’s soundtrack. We also created an original composition with the musician LinkRust. You can listen to (or listen again to) the music from the film “Keep It Burning” with this link: SOUNDTRACK OF THE FILM. Enjoy!
