This 52-minute documentary film explores the different roles water plays and the different ways water is perceived in communities throughout the world

During a yearlong trip around the world, meeting with local populations in big cities and remote villages, Perrine & Guillaume Broust embarked on a journey to learn more about people’s relationship with water, producing the documentary film, The Sounds of Water ("Les Chants de l'Eau").

How is water perceived and used? What are its benefits and risks? What legends are told about water? What is its history? All of these topics are covered through interviews with fishermen, farmers, free divers, ministers, researchers... This documentary expands the ways we think about and use water.

On Saturday, November 7, Julia Chanourdie became the third woman in the 9b (5.15b)! Discover Julia's incredible story of becoming the third woman to climb 9b. A journey thought the extreme difficulty and intensity to climb such a hard route. As well as the mental challenge that it takes.

"I went for two days at the crag to shoot the climbing sequences with Julia. The GoPro shot at the bottom, as well as the phone shot (and the comments) are from the real send."

Enjoy this incredible performance!

My latest big production is out! The sailing boat Maewan arrives in 2018 in Makatea, a unique island of Polynesia. A circle of coral raised about a hundred meters above a turquoise sea, a large variety of fauna and flora, a dream landscape... but also an exploited and abandoned island in the middle of the remains of the phosphate mines.

As Erwan le Lann and Marion Courtois meet Makatea Escalade and discover the incredible limestone cliffs that the island offers right beside the sea, they discuss the possibilities of equipment and development of the site with the locals. 6 months later they come back with a team of twenty enthusiasts, climbers, speleologists, rescuers, educational and environmental managers, photographers, cameramen, journalists... to set up the “Makatea Vertical Adventure” project. The goal being to develop eco-responsible tourism, which is respectful of the biodiversity of the atoll and its inhabitants through the practice of climbing.
